Removing Applications and Files

After scanning your Mac and reviewing the results, you can select which applications and associated files to remove.

Selecting Apps and Files

Select the apps and files you want to remove using the checkboxes. The "Amount to be Freed" and "New Free Space" indicators at the top of the window will update as you make your selections.

To fine-tune your selection, click the "Details" button next to any app to view and individually select or deselect its associated files -- such as caches, preferences, support files, containers, and logs.

Completing the Removal

When you are ready, click "Next". You will be advised to create a Time Machine backup before proceeding. All selected files are moved to the Trash, so you can recover them if needed.

After the removal completes, you will see a summary of what was removed. You can run another scan to continue removing additional applications.

Notes

Due to macOS sandbox restrictions, Delete Apps may not be able to automatically remove every associated file. When this happens, it will show you the file locations so you can remove them manually in Finder.
