How do I scan all areas of my disk after upgrading to a newer version of macOS?
Grant Full Disk Access to Delete Apps so it can scan your entire drive for associated files.
Starting with macOS Mojave, macOS requires your explicit permission before an app can access certain protected areas of your drive. Without Full Disk Access, Delete Apps will still work but may miss some associated files, and those files will need to be removed manually.
Granting Full Disk Access allows Delete Apps to perform a complete scan of your entire drive, ensuring that all caches, preferences, support files, containers, and logs are found.
For step-by-step instructions on enabling Full Disk Access, see the Full Disk Access guide.
Once Full Disk Access is enabled, restart Delete Apps and run a new scan. It will now be able to locate all associated files across your entire drive.
