Selecting Files for Removal

After Disk Doctor Pro completes a scan, you can choose which files to remove. There are several ways to make your selection:

Enabling Categories

In the left-hand sidebar, each scan category has a toggle button. Click the toggle to enable or disable an entire category for removal. The toggle turns green when a category is enabled.

Selecting Individual Files

Within each category, you can use the checkbox next to each file to select or deselect it individually. This gives you fine-grained control over exactly what gets removed.

Select All or Deselect All

Use the Select All and Deselect All controls at the top of the file list to quickly check or uncheck every file in the current category.

Reviewing Your Selection

As you select categories and files for removal, the total amount of space that will be freed appears in the bottom-left corner of the app window.

Tip: Hover over any file and click the magnifying glass icon to reveal it in Finder before deciding whether to remove it.

Cleaning Selected Files

Once you are satisfied with your selection:

1. Click the Remove Selected Files button in the bottom-right corner of the app window.
2. You will be prompted to confirm and reminded to make a Time Machine backup, as removed files are permanently deleted.
3. Click Clean to proceed with the removal.

After Cleaning

Once the removal is complete, Disk Doctor Pro displays a summary of your results, including:

• The total size of files successfully removed.
• The new total free space on your Mac's hard drive.

From here, you can quit the app or run another scan to check for additional files.
