Getting Started with Folder Designer

Folder Designer lets you customize the appearance of any folder on your Mac. You can apply icons, patterns, and background colors to create distinctive, personalized folder designs.

Launching the App

Folder Designer runs as a standalone app. After launching it, you will see the main design window where you can build a custom folder icon.

The Design Window

The main window is divided into key areas:

• Preview -- A live preview of your folder icon updates in real time as you make changes.
• Icon tab -- Select and configure an embossed icon to display on the folder.
• Pattern tab -- Apply a full-color image pattern to the folder instead of an icon.
• Tint section -- Change the background color of the folder.
