Rich Text Formatting in Handy Note

Handy Note supports full rich text formatting, letting you style your notes with fonts, colours, links, and more.

Supported Formatting

Handy Note supports the following rich text options:

• Bold, Italic, and Underline
• Custom font sizes and colours
• Clickable links
• Inline images

You can apply formatting using the standard macOS Format menu or the usual keyboard shortcuts (for example, Cmd+B for bold, Cmd+I for italic, Cmd+U for underline).

Pasting Formatted Text

Text that is copied and pasted into Handy Note retains its original formatting by default. This means content from web pages, emails, or documents will appear in the note with its original styling.

To paste without formatting, go to Edit > Paste Plain Text in the menu bar.

Find and Replace

Use Cmd+F to open Find and Replace within a note. You can jump between matches, replace one at a time, or replace all at once.

Troubleshooting

Pasted text has unwanted formatting

Use Edit > Paste Plain Text from the menu bar to paste without formatting.
