Themes in Handy Note

Handy Note lets you change the appearance of each note using themes. Choose from seven built-in themes or create your own custom themes with full control over colours and fonts.

Choosing a Theme

To change the theme of an individual note:

1. Click the gear icon in the top-left corner of the note.
2. Select a theme from the Color Theme section.

The theme changes the background, text colour, and overall appearance of that note.

Built-in Themes

Handy Note includes seven built-in themes. You can preview each one in the Themes tab of Settings and set any theme as your default by selecting it and clicking Make Default Theme.

Built-in themes cannot be edited or deleted.

Creating Custom Themes

To create a custom theme:

1. Open Settings and go to the Themes tab.
2. Click the + button at the top of the theme list.
3. Give your theme a name.
4. Customise the following properties by clicking their colour swatches:
   • Background Start and End colours (gradient)
   • Text colour
   • Link colour
   • Text Cursor colour
   • Font type, style, and size

Custom themes can be edited and deleted at any time.

Setting a Default Theme

Any theme -- built-in or custom -- can be set as the default. The default theme is applied to all new notes you create.

1. Open Settings and go to the Themes tab.
2. Select a theme from the list.
3. Click Make Default Theme.
