Duplicate Detective - Why are duplicate photos not being deleted?

Duplicate photos stored within an iPhoto album will be moved to the Trash section within your iPhoto app. You must then open iPhoto and empty the trash from within the app to fully remove the duplicate.

Due to Apple's sandboxing rules, we are not able to automatically empty your iPhoto trash on your behalf.
