How do I unlock Extreme Clean in Memory Clean 2 if I already purchased it in Memory Clean?

Instructions for transferring your Extreme Clean purchase from Memory Clean 1 to Memory Clean 2 for free.

Due to Apple's sandboxing restrictions, Extreme Clean cannot be transferred automatically between Memory Clean 1 and Memory Clean 2. However, you can unlock it in Memory Clean 2 for free if you already purchased it in Memory Clean 1 by following the steps below.

Prerequisites

Make sure Memory Clean 1 is still installed on your Mac and that Extreme Clean is unlocked in it. If you have already deleted Memory Clean 1, you will need to redownload it from the Mac App Store (go to your Purchases tab), then restore the Extreme Clean purchase via its Settings window before continuing.

Steps to unlock

  1. Open Memory Clean 2.
  2. Click the cog icon in the top-right corner of the window.
  3. Select Settings.
  4. Go to the Extras tab.
  5. Click the Select Memory Clean button.
  6. Locate and select Memory Clean.app from the Applications list.
  7. Click Choose.

Memory Clean 2 will scan Memory Clean 1 to verify that Extreme Clean is purchased and unlocked. If the verification succeeds, Extreme Clean will be activated in Memory Clean 2 at no additional cost.

Once Extreme Clean is unlocked in Memory Clean 2, you are free to delete Memory Clean 1 if you no longer need it.
