What is Auto Clean?

Auto Clean allows Memory Clean 3 to automatically free up memory when the amount of free RAM on your Mac falls below a defined threshold. This means you do not have to remember to manually clean your memory -- the app takes care of it for you.

Configuring Auto Clean

You can find Auto Clean settings in Settings under the Advanced tab.

Threshold

Set the free memory threshold that triggers an automatic clean. By default, this is set to 100 MB. When your free memory drops below this value, Memory Clean 3 will automatically run a clean (or Extreme Clean, depending on your preference).

Cooldown

Enable or disable the auto clean cooldown to prevent Memory Clean 3 from cleaning too frequently. When cooldown is enabled, the app will wait a set period after each automatic clean before it can trigger another one. This protects your Mac from freezing up due to repeated cleaning in a short time.

Refresh Interval

The refresh interval controls how often Memory Clean 3 checks your Mac's current memory usage. By default, this is set to 5 seconds. A shorter interval means the app will detect low memory conditions faster, while a longer interval uses slightly fewer system resources.

Tip: If you find that auto clean is triggering too often, try increasing the cooldown period or lowering the free memory threshold.
