Why Is Memory Clean 3 Asking for a License Code?
How to fix Memory Clean 3 asking for a license code when you already purchased it on the Mac App Store.
Why This Happens
If Memory Clean 3 is asking you to enter a license code, you most likely downloaded the free trial version from our website instead of the version you purchased from the Mac App Store. The trial version requires a license code to unlock, but the Mac App Store version does not -- it is already fully licensed through your Apple Account.
How to Fix It
- Quit Memory Clean 3 if it is currently running.
- Delete all versions of Memory Clean 3 from your Applications folder.
- Open the Mac App Store.
- Make sure you are signed in with the same Apple Account you used to purchase the app.
- Go to your Purchased tab (click your profile icon in the bottom-left corner, then find Memory Clean 3 in the list).
- Click Install to download the Mac App Store version.
- Launch the app -- it will be fully unlocked without requiring a license code.
Tip: You can tell the two versions apart by checking where you downloaded the app from. The Mac App Store version will never ask for a license code.
Purchased from Our Website?
If you purchased a license directly from our website (not the Mac App Store), you should have received a license code via email. Check your inbox (and spam folder) for an email from FIPLAB containing your code. Enter this code when prompted by the app to unlock it.
If you cannot find your license code or are still having trouble, please contact us and we will be happy to help.
