Memory Hogs
Learn how Memory Clean 3 identifies memory-hungry apps and can automatically recover memory when you close them.
What Are Memory Hogs?
The Memory Hogs section in Memory Clean 3 shows you which apps are currently using the most memory on your Mac. This makes it easy to identify apps that may be slowing your system down.
Auto Clean on Close
Memory Clean 3 can automatically recover memory when you quit a memory-hogging app. When this feature is enabled, the app will run a clean as soon as it detects that a memory hog has been closed, freeing up the RAM that app was holding onto.
You can enable or disable this behavior in Settings under the App Management tab in the Memory Hogs section.
Memory Hogs Settings
In the Memory Hogs section of Settings, you can:
- Enable or disable auto clean after a memory hogging app is closed.
- Choose whether to show how much memory was freed after cleaning a hog.
Tip: If you regularly use large apps like video editors or games, keeping auto clean on close enabled is a good way to reclaim memory without having to think about it.
