Upgrading from Memory Clean 2

Memory Clean 3 (also known as Memory Meter 3) is the successor to Memory Clean 2. It has been rebuilt from the ground up to take advantage of modern macOS features and provide a better experience.

Is it a free upgrade?

Memory Clean 3 is a separate app. Purchases of Memory Clean 2 do not transfer to Memory Clean 3. MC3 requires its own purchase or subscription.

Where to get Memory Clean 3

Memory Clean 3 is available in two ways:

• Mac App Store — search for "Memory Clean 3" or "Memory Meter 3"
• Direct download — available from fiplab.com

What's new in Memory Clean 3?

MC3 includes all the features from Memory Clean 2 plus several improvements:

• Memory Hogs view — see which apps are using the most memory at a glance
• Inactive Apps detection — identify apps that are running but not actively being used
• Modern macOS design — updated interface that fits seamlessly with the latest versions of macOS
• Improved Auto Clean — smarter automatic memory cleaning with better threshold controls

How to switch

You can run Memory Clean 3 alongside Memory Clean 2, so there is no need to remove MC2 right away. Download and install MC3, try it out, and remove MC2 when you are comfortable with the transition.

Will Memory Clean 2 still work?

Memory Clean 2 will continue to function, but it no longer receives updates. For the best experience and compatibility with current and future versions of macOS, we recommend upgrading to Memory Clean 3.
