Accessing Settings

Access Settings from the RSS Bot menu to configure how the app behaves.

Settings

• Update Interval -- Set how often RSS Bot checks your feeds for new articles (for example, every 15 minutes).
• Notifications -- Toggle notifications on or off. When enabled, RSS Bot uses native macOS notifications to alert you when new articles are posted. Each notification displays the article title and the feed source.
• Sound Effects -- Enable or disable the notification sound that plays when new articles arrive.
• Auto Mark as Read -- Automatically mark articles as read when they appear, so only new articles since your last check show as unread.
• Launch at Login -- Start RSS Bot automatically when your Mac boots, so you never miss an update.

Keyword Filters

Keyword filter settings are also accessible from Settings. When active, notifications are limited to articles matching your specified keywords. See the Keyword Filters article for full details on setting up and using filters.
