Settings

The Settings panel in Screen Tint includes several options for controlling the app's general behaviour and appearance.

General Settings

• Start at Login -- Launch Screen Tint automatically when your Mac starts up. Your preferred tint settings will be ready without any manual action. This is especially useful when combined with a schedule, as the tint will activate at the right time without you needing to open the app.
• Show icon in Dock -- Display the Screen Tint icon in your Mac's Dock in addition to the menu bar icon. When disabled, the app is accessible only through its menu bar icon.
• Hide window on app launch -- When enabled, the app launches directly to the menu bar without showing the main window. This keeps things unobtrusive if you have already configured your settings and do not need to adjust them regularly.

Accessing Settings

You can open the Settings panel in two ways:

1. Select "Settings" from the left-hand column in the app window.
2. Click the Screen Tint menu bar icon and choose "Settings" from the dropdown.

The Settings panel also provides access to:

• The main tint toggle for enabling and disabling the overlay.
• Colour preset selection and the custom colour picker.
• The colour intensity slider.
• Schedule configuration for automatic tinting.
• Display selection for multi-monitor setups.
