Managing Tasks in TaskTab
Learn how to add, complete, reorder, edit, delete, import, and export tasks in TaskTab.
Adding Tasks
There are two ways to add tasks:
From the menu bar dropdown -- Click the TaskTab menu bar icon to open the dropdown. Type a task name into the text field at the top and press Return. The task is added immediately to your pending list.
From the Manage Tasks window -- Click the Manage Tasks button (accessible from the welcome screen or the menu bar dropdown). In this window, click the Add Task button in the top-right corner, then type your task name.
Completing Tasks
To mark a task as done, click on it in the menu bar dropdown. A strikethrough appears and the task moves to the completed section of the list.
If you click a completed task, it moves back to the pending list.
Reordering Tasks
In the Manage Tasks window, drag a task using the handle on its right side to move it up or down the list. You can also right-click a task and choose to move it up or down.
Editing and Deleting Tasks
To rename a task, double-click it in the Manage Tasks window. You can also right-click a task to see options for renaming, repositioning, or removing it.
To delete a task, select it in the Manage Tasks window and click the Remove Task button. You can also right-click and choose Remove. Deleting a task cannot be undone.
Importing and Exporting Tasks
Click the More option in the menu bar dropdown to find Import and Export.
- Import -- Paste a list of tasks directly into the import window, or select a .txt file from your Mac.
- Export -- Save your current task list as a .txt file to any location on your Mac.
