Getting Started with Timeless

Learn how to launch Timeless and begin setting up alarms on your Mac.

Getting Started

Timeless runs as a menu bar app. When you launch it for the first time, its icon appears in the menu bar at the top of your screen and the main app window opens on your desktop.

The app window will initially show "No Alarms" since you have not created any yet. The background colour of the interface shifts automatically throughout the day -- lighter tones during daytime hours and deeper, darker hues at night.

Creating Your First Alarm

To create a new alarm, do one of the following:

  • Click the + icon in the top-right corner of the app window.
  • Click the gear icon in the top-left corner and select Add Alarm.
  • Right-click the menu bar icon and select Add Alarm.

On the Set Alarm screen you can configure the time, title, repeat schedule, snooze behaviour, and sound. Click Confirm when you are satisfied with the settings.

When an Alarm Fires

A popup appears on screen showing the alarm title. You can choose to Stop the alarm or Snooze it (if snooze is enabled for that alarm). The default snooze duration is 10 minutes, but this can be changed in Settings.
